Advancing One Health in Asia: Cross-Sector Action for Shared Threats

22 January 2026 Ameron Davos Swiss Mountain Resort Switzerland

    About the Event

Asia faces rising cross-system health risks as pressures such as antibiotic misuse, intensive agriculture, weak sanitation, and climate change increasingly affect human, animal, and environmental health. High population density, intensive food production, and uneven healthcare infrastructure further amplify vulnerabilities, driving threats from zoonotic spillovers and climate-sensitive diseases to the growing burden of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

With One Health still under-recognised globally, this closed-door breakfast session will spotlight Asia’s critical role in advancing an integrated, unifying approach and the potential of public–private–philanthropic partnerships to strengthen prevention, surveillance, and treatment across human, animal, and environmental systems.

The session will bring together senior leaders from philanthropy, government, multilaterals, academia, and the private sector to explore shared vulnerabilities and identify opportunities for collaborative, cross-sector action to protect lives and safeguard Asia’s future.

We are honoured to welcome Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore and Distinguished Patron of PAA, as our Guest of Honour.

Participation is by invitation only. Register your interest to attend: https://p-aa.org/PAADavos2026
