● Now in its third edition, the global mentorship programme seeks solutions across three thematic tracks co-developed with and supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), TikTok and Temasek Trust’s Spurring Singapore Socio-Economic Enterprises (S3E)

● Over 80 partners contributing industry expertise, commercial connections, resources, and catalytic funding

● The Amplifier builds on its experience providing tailored hands-on support to 15 impact companies from across eight markets since 2023

SINGAPORE, 28 OCTOBER 2026 — Capital Innovation for Impact (CIIP) and Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA) today launched the third edition of the Amplifier at the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2026 by Enterprise Singapore, a programme partner of the Amplifier. Applications are open across three new thematic tracks: climate adaptive and resilient water systems, digital and financial inclusion, and inclusive employment and access to essential services.

The Amplifier is a 12-month mentorship programme that supports high-potential impact companies tackling sustainable development challenges in Asia. Launched in 2023, the programme has worked closely with 15 mentees from across eight markets, connecting them with industry expertise, strategic partnerships, and opportunities to strengthen their business models and progress towards commercial adoption and scale.

The inaugural cohort has gone on to raise more than US$48 million in follow-on investment and grants, and has unlocked over US$6 million in revenue through new commercial contracts and partnerships.

Up to nine companies will be selected for the 26/27 edition, receiving tailored industry mentorship, training in impact practices, commercial connections, and access to other enabling resources.  Qualifying mentees will also receive catalytic funding, starting from S$100K each. Details can be found on the application page.

“Promising impact companies need more than capital to grow. Access to the right expertise, commercial opportunities, and partnerships is just as important,” said Ms Dawn Chan, CEO of CIIP. “Our experience with the Amplifier continues to shape how we work with partners to support our mentees. We are grateful to our past and present partners for contributing their expertise and networks. We welcome applications from companies committed to measuring and deepening their impact and building sustainable solutions that create lasting change and spark new business opportunities.”

Partnerships remain a key pillar of the Amplifier, bringing together complementary expertise and resources from across the ecosystem to help impact companies overcome barriers to commercial adoption and scale. This year's programme is supported by over 80 partners, with each thematic track co-developed by CIIP, PAA, and Impact Innovation Partners.

The three tracks and their respective Impact Innovation Partners are:

● Climate Adaptive and Resilient Water Systems, in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB)

● Empowering Businesses and Individuals through Digital Access, Business Capability and Financial Inclusion, in partnership with TikTok

● Advancing Inclusive Employment and Widening Access to Essential Services, in partnership with Spurring Singapore Socio-Economic Enterprises (S3E), a new initiative by Temasek Trust

Details on each track and its respective Impact Innovation Partners are outlined below.

Climate Adaptive and Resilient Water Systems

From water scarcity to extreme weather, growing climate pressures are testing the resilience of water systems across Asia. Addressing these challenges requires innovation to strengthen water security, improve resource efficiency, and help communities and industries adapt. The climate adaptive and resilient water systems track, developed in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will support solutions spanning water supply, efficiency and treatment, climate-risk forecasting, and coastal and ecosystem adaptation, including cross-cutting technologies with clear applications for water resilience.

“Climate change is placing unprecedented pressure on water and urban systems across Asia and the Pacific, demanding new solutions that are innovative, practical, and scalable. Through our partnership with the Amplifier, ADB is helping connect promising enterprises with the expertise, networks, and opportunities they need to bring resilient water solutions to the communities that need them most. We are excited to support innovators whose ideas can strengthen water security, enhance climate resilience, and improve lives across the region,” said Ms Neeta Pokhrel, Director, Water and Urban Development Sector Cluster, Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Empowering Businesses and Individuals through Digital Access, Business Capability and Financial Inclusion

Digital platforms are opening new opportunities to earn a living, build businesses, and participate in the economy, but many underserved individuals and small businesses still lack the digital skills, financial literacy, and tools to benefit fully from these opportunities. In partnership with TikTok, the global discovery platform, this track seeks solutions that strengthen digital and business capabilities, improve financial literacy, and enable safer participation in the digital economy. These include tools and approaches that help entrepreneurs grow sustainably, individuals access livelihood opportunities, and households make informed financial decisions and better withstand economic shocks.

"Millions of people across Southeast Asia come to TikTok every day to create, share, discover and connect, and increasingly, to build livelihoods," said Mr Nicholas Lee, APAC Corporate Social Responsibility Lead, TikTok. "We see firsthand the huge potential of the digital economy, as well as new opportunities to expand inclusive support for businesses and individuals. Through our partnership with Amplifier, we are bringing together TikTok's reach with partner expertise, practical tools, and digital solutions, helping extend financial literacy support to more people both on and beyond our platform. Together, we aim to support individuals and small businesses as they better prepare for and navigate financial challenges, and build lasting financial resilience," he added.

Advancing Inclusive Employment and Widening Access to Essential Services

Access to stable employment, opportunities to develop skills, and essential services can make a lasting difference to people's livelihoods. Yet many underserved communities continue to face barriers that limit their economic participation and opportunities for advancement. In partnership with S3E, this track seeks solutions that expand access to quality employment, support skills development and career progression, and make essential services such as healthcare and education more accessible and affordable.

“We believe commercially sustainable enterprises can play an important role in addressing persistent social challenges, given the right capital and support to grow,” said Mr Andrew Leo, Head, S3E. “Through Amplifier, we look forward to combining S3E’s patient, impact-first capital with practical capability-building support and the networks of the Temasek Trust Collective to help enterprises scale innovative solutions to pressing social challenges.”

Call for applications to these tracks are now open. More information about how to apply can be found here: https://philanthropyasiaalliance.org/our-impact/the-amplifier/2026
