At a time of intensifying global challenges – from the climate crisis and widening inequality to persistent gaps in health, education, and sustainable development – the need for bold, coordinated action has never been more urgent. Asia, with its diversity and growing influence, has a critical role to play in shaping inclusive, systems-driven solutions for the region and beyond.

The Philanthropy Asia Summit (PAS) 2025, themed “Priming Asia for Good”, was convened to catalyse collective impact through collaboration, innovation, and strategic partnerships. Organised by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA), and supported by Temasek Trust and Temasek Foundation, this fifth and largest edition brought together over 1,100 participants from 27 countries. Held from 5–7 May 2025 in Singapore and co-located with Temasek’s Ecosperity Week, the Summit provided a dynamic platform for aligning ideas, capital, and action.

From visionary keynotes by eminent leaders to showcases of scalable, high-impact innovations, PAS 2025 spotlighted Asia’s unique potential to drive progress in the interconnected areas of climate, health, and education. It underscored the catalytic power of philanthropy when paired with cross-sector collaboration and a shared commitment to systems change.

This Insights Report distils the key takeaways, partnerships, and promising models that emerged from PAS 2025, offering a roadmap for action. Among the report’s core themes:

• Philanthropy must be bolder in deploying risk-tolerant capital to seed innovation and unlock blended finance.

• Scalability is essential – initiatives must move beyond pilot phases to deliver sustained, long-term impact.

• Collaboration thrives on diversity, with each stakeholder bringing unique strengths to the table. Facilitative leadership is key.

• Shared goals must be backed by action, anchored in common frameworks and robust impact measurement.

• Equity must be prioritised, ensuring progress is inclusive, community-led, and leaves no one behind.

More than a convening, PAS 2025 served as a launchpad for deeper collaboration and practical solutions – advancing a shared vision of a more just, sustainable, and resilient Asia.
